Overview

George Martin were tasked to refurbish the previous Citroen / DS showroom in Rochford and convert this into a Hyundai showroom. The size of this showroom is 540m. This work involved the replacement of decorative finishes to align with the corporate identity of Hyundai. In addition, there was a small office space created on the ground floor.

The project was located within the Toomey Motor Group and as such require detailed planning and programming to reduce the impact on the business and the customers experience. Working closely with the manufacturers designers at Hyundai, George Martin was overseeing the works that included Hyundai Showroom the relocation of staff, strip out of existing finishes, installation of new corporate identity features and finishes and the procurement. It also included the installation of bespoke Hyundai furniture – as required by the manufacturers. 

George Martin will lead the Basildon refurbishment and rebranding project, following the successful completion of the Rochford development. This will involve renovating the existing building and showroom to meet Hyundai’s manufacturer standards.
